Preschool Crafts for Spring Dancing Rainbow
Spring is in the air. Time to pull out some preschool crafts to decorate your home or classroom. Preschool Crafts for Kids to create. Spring crafts brighten up a classroom or home the extra bonus is that imperfection is just fine. The great thing is about Preschool Crafts is no one cares about showing glue or crooked edges, which makes it ideal for playing with techniques that might be new to your kids.
Spring Craft Dancing Rainbow
Materials
- Paperplate or toilet paper rolls
- Crepe Paper, rainbow colors
- Scissors
- Tape
- crayons & markers (optional)
This is a fairly simple project but its likely you will have to help your preschooler and usually generates lots of smiles! Brighten up a rainy day with your own rainbow!
What to do:
Simply attach long strips of different colored crepe paper (in rainbow colors!) to empty toilet paper rolls or paper plates with tape.
The streamers should be about 12 inch lengths of different colored streamers to the cut side of the plate or toilet tubes.
Older children might wish to make a rainbow on the place with the streamers attached to the appropriate colors.
Put on some music (like "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" from The Wizard of Oz movie) and dance with your rainbow -- make the streamers go up, down, over, around, under, left, right, etc. This reinforces direction concepts and it's a whole lot of fun.
Take your rainbow on a walk (when the weather allows) and have fun letting the streamers blow in the wind.
