Preschool Crafts for Spring Paper Plate Lamb

Spring is in the air. Time to pull out some preschool crafts to decorate your home or classroom. Preschool Crafts for Kids to create. These spring crafts are complete with easy printable craft instructions. (and a picture for those visual learners). Spring crafts brighten up a classroom or home the extra bonus is that imperfection is just fine. The great thing is about Preschool Crafts is no one cares about showing glue or crooked edges, which makes it ideal for playing with techniques that might be new to your kids.

Paper Plate Lamb

This cute little lamb is a great March (in like a lion out like a lamb), farm animal or Bible craft project.

Materials

• * Paper Plate

  * Craft Glue

  * Cotton Balls

  * Pom-pom

• * Chenille Stem

  * Wiggle Eyes

  * Construction Paper black

  * Scissors

• What to do:

1. Cut a circle the size of the center of the plate to act as the face glue in place. We used Black construction paper.
2. Use a generous amount of glue to attach cotton balls all around the white edge of the paper plate.
3. Glue a pom-pom onto the center of the paper plate to be the lamb's nose. I used a light pink pom-pom, but feel free to use whatever color pom-pom you like!
4. Cut a piece of chenille stem, about 3 inches long. Fold the chenilles tem piece in half, and then bend up each end so it looks similar to a letter 'W'.
5. Glue the mouth you folded onto the paper plate as shown.
6. Add a pair of fun, wiggle eyes using craft glue.
7. Cut two oval shapes out of black construction paper. These will be the lamb's ears. Mine were about 3-inches long and almost 2-inches wide.
8. Finally, glue on the lamb's ears. Once all the glue is dry you can hang your lamb up for all to admire or even add a stick and use it like a puppet or even a mask.
