Thanksgiving Crafts. To Celebrate Autumn and the Fall Season.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday! Thanksgiving craft ideas are abundant throughout many online sources that offer great ideas to keep kids busy during the holiday season. These are some sweet TURKEY Crafts (look for the PRINT THIS PAGE button to create printable crafts instructions).

This is one of our favorite Thanksgiving craft do to while waiting for the dinner to be prepared. The kids simply trace their hands on different color paper and their foot (or shoe) on a piece of brown. They are then displayed under a clear table cloth on the desert buffet. (We skip the goggle eyes and draw our own)

Thanksgiving Crafts - Foot & Handprint Turkey

Make a turkey using a hand print, and a foot print.

Materials Needed:

* Construction Paper
* Markers or Crayons
* Glue
* scissors
*optional goggle eyes

Instructions:
Set a shoe (or your footprint) on a piece of brown paper and trace. Trace your hand on a different color of paper (which ever color you want your turkey feathers to be). Cut both tracings out.

Glue your hand shape on the back of your foot shape. You want the bottom part of the palm of your hand shape to be close to the toe part of your shoe shape. Your foot print will now be the turkey's body and the hand print is it's tail feathers!

Use scraps of construction paper to cut out a beak and waddle (the red part that hangs below the beak). Draw on eyes or cut eyes out of construction paper. Glue on.
