Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday! Thanksgiving craft ideas are abundant throughout many online sources that offer great ideas to keep kids busy during the holiday season. Harvest, Thanksgiving is too nice a holiday to let the other more commercial holidays crowd it out. By making holiday crafts to decorate the home for Thanksgiving, you can keep this day special, too.
This is the perfect project for the kids to do while waiting for the Turkey Dinner! These are GREAT toddler crafts.

Thanksgiving Crafts - Turkey Handprints

Materials needed for your Turkey Handprints:
Paint
Paper (heavyweight)
Markers

optional: craft foam

1,2,3 EASY INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Have the child dip their hand in a choice of paint. (We used a couple of different colors that they swirled around.) Yes we ended up with a pink turkey...

2. Print several hand prints on a heavy paper. This will give you the option to cut out the best print or give some to the visiting family.

3. Once dry add the turkey's eye and waddle and legs with markers.

**Cut out your favorite and mount it on craft foam or add it to a collection made from the entire family and laminate it for placemats that can be pulled out each year. Or use the poem below and create a Thanksgiving greeting card.
