Valentines.. the day of romantic cards, images of hearts, cupid and all things that remind us of how much we love the ones close to us. Here's some free crafts to help add a touch of love to your Valentine's Day including Traditional symbols of Valentine's Day include hearts, doves, Cupid, and love notes as well as whimsical animals. Enjoy these crafts for your kids or your classroom.


Valentine's Day love bug

What you need:

Black craft foam or craft paper
Red & Pink construction paper
Pipe cleaners
Scissor
Glue
embellishments: stickers, glitter, markers, crayons, google eyes

What you do:

Cut an oval out of black foam or craft paper for the body.
Cut and trace hearts out of red and pink craft paper and decorate.

Attach heart wings to body with glue.
Attach google eyes. We used the medium size for our love bugs.

Add pipe cleaner antennas to your love bug. We used metallic however plain black works well too.

This little bug could adorn a Valentine Mailbox or the front of a card. We made them for our classroom valentin bulletin board with tissue paper flowers that will carry us into the Spring Craft season.
